Here we go!
What plans do you have for this brand new year? Does God give you a special “word” to use for each new year?
He doesn’t always. I did not get one last year But I did receive mine for 2015 just last evening. I’d just come in from taking the dog out in a bitter minus 5° evening, shivering, wishing I didn’t have to go out into the cold like that.
But God firmly, but gently, reminded me that Rocky was a responsibility I’d taken on—actually one that He’d given me—and that, despite the weather conditions, the dog needed to go outside to do his business, and that I should . . .
PERSEVERE! That’s the word I got for 2015, and it’s fitting in so many ways. As I make my plans for this new year, perseverance is going to become a most necessary part of sticking to them . . . mostly in my writing endeavors. I want to get two more books written and published this year, whether traditionally, or independently.
And there are a few more short stories in the works—at least one more for the Sweetland Series.
So, what about you? What plans have you made, or are making, for 2015? Do share!
“The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace.”
Numbers 6:24-26 [NKJV]
