Nobody want's to play? Well then, I'll start. This might not be a true cliche, but it makes me crazy nonetheless: "She released a breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding." I read a book a few years ago that had those exact words at least once in every chapter.
There's got to be a better way to say that. Like The air left her lungs with a whoosh. Just sayin.... ;)
